Program Overview
The dotCMS Partner Program has two tiers – Standard Partner and Prime Partner. The primary difference between the two is that Prime Partners get a dotCMS Standard License with which to host multiple smaller clients. In return, Prime Partners receive a greater level of support from and access to dotCMS.

for the dotCMS Partner Program?
dotCMS seeks regional, national or global Digital Agencies, System Integrators and Web Development organizations that focus on large vertical markets. dotCMS partners provide their clients with consulting, design and UX, implementation, integration and customization services. dotCMS provides the web content management system (WCMS), and if requested, support and professional services.
How is the dotCMS Partner Program different? Better?
The dotCMS partner program is based on building a meaningful commitment between dotCMS and all Partners. dotCMS requires that Prime Partners retain dotCMS trained personnel. Having such expertise on staff provides Prime Partner customers with the assurance of a quality implementation. dotCMS provides Prime Partners with lead generation activities such as co-branded case studies, PR support, and if warranted, sharing of costs in trade shows. No other CMS vendor provides this benefit – even those who charge partners $10,000.

If you plan to do business with dotCMS based on one or two projects – then the Standard Partner level may be right for you. If you plan to make dotCMS an integral part of your new business efforts, then consider the Prime Partner level.

Enterprise Partner Product Overview
Enterprise Partner allows dotCMS Prime Partners to host dozens of small businesses on one instance of dotCMS. This provides small businesses access to enterprise-grade WCM features at a fraction of the price of a standalone license and infrastructure. And for Prime Partners, this provides yet another revenue source from the portfolio of dotCMS products and services.
Target
The target for Enterprise Partner services is companies that have a small or virtually no IT and marketing group. These organizations tend to rest on dotCMS partners for the maintenance of a part or all of their site.
How it works
The Certified Partner sets up an instance of dotCMS on their servers (or, a cloud service). The mulit-site/multi-tenant capabilities of dotCMS allow the Certified Partner to host an unlimited number of small business sites. The Certified Partner can define client permissions, based upon the level of service. From there, the client either makes the change, or asks the partner to.
